At some point in time the first living organism appeared on the planet we call earth. Prior to that time, the earth was here but there was nothing that was alive anywhere on the planet.
Questions:
How did the first living organism become a living entity? Is it possible for life to evolve from non living inorganic materials?
How did it create itself from inorganic (non-living) material of unknown origin using only small random steps? And, how did it create the ability to perform various functions so it could maintain its life for at least as long as it would take to replicate and continue its lineage? Also, is there any scientific data or tests to demonstrate this process is valid?
Evolution posits that all life on earth probably evolved from a single source, and by a process of small random steps probably starting with a relatively simple life form such as bacteria, and over an undetermined length of time evolved into more and more complex species, presently ending with humans which is a extremely complex lifeform without any aid from and form of intelligence.
Could this even be possible? If this is true, what functions would the very first life form have to be able to perform for it to be viable? Would it have to eat? Being the first life form, would the only food available for it to eat, be itself? Or, did other bacteria evolve simultaneously to provide food for the first bacteria?
Would it have to be able to move about in order for it to locate food to eat? What steps were needed for this to happen. Can these steps be demonstrated? Would it be necessary to be able to process the food so it could be in a form where it could sustain life, and how did this happen? And, would it have to contain the correct nutrients or would it eat whatever was handy? And, once digested would it have the mechanisms to excrete what it couldn’t process or did it just explode?
Must the first ever life form on planet earth be able to replicate itself? If it has no progeny will its lineage cease before it begins.
Did the first ever bacteria have to eat the second ever bacteria because it was the only other food source?
