Our Greeters

When you come to visit us, you will probably notice a rather large cloth doll and a huge stuffed gorilla sitting in their rattan chairs waiting to greet you. Their names are Happiness and Knuckles. They are a bit of whimsy, and they are located in our foyer. They each have written a greeting to welcome our guests which follows.
Greetings from Happiness
Well, Gracious me! Look who’s here!
Welcome! My name is Happiness, and you calling on us makes me feel like I’m running through a shower of beautiful flowers and swinging on a rainbow.
Charlotte, John, Knuckles, and I are delighted that you’ve come to visit us.
To say we’re thrilled, euphoric, excited, overjoyed, and gleefully pleased wouldn’t even come close to expressing our pleasure and excitement at seeing you. Or, as my aunt Mary used to say “We are as happy as clams at high tide to see you.”
We hope you have a wonderful time while you are with us. And, we wish you happiness, delight, and joy!

Greetings, I’m “Knuckles and I’m a curmudgeon. Why, just looking at you gives me heartburn and gas! What treacherous thoughts are you thinking? What are you up to? I can almost feel you conjuring up some scheme to trick me.
Am I glad you are here? Do I hope your visit is brief? What do you think? Do I hope you’ll enjoy your visit? Maybe.
Well don’t just stand there like a country bumpkin about to cut the cheese or worse, hurl. Come on in, sit down, and make yourself at home.
Tell me, do you think there was anything here before the universe showed up and created itself from nothing. Or, are we here for any particular reason or just taking up space?
And, please share what it is that makes you happy, and if you have any joy or hope you can share please do.
